I studied medicine at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. After my graduation as a MD in 2002, I started working as an emergency physician at the Bethesda hospital in Hogeveen, the Netherlands (2003), and as an intern working in the fields of internal medicine, pulmonology and cardiology at the Martini hospital in Groningen (2004). Hereafter, I started my vocational training in General Practice / Family Medicine at the University Medical Centre of Groningen (UMCG) (2004-2007).

Since 2011 I am working in a group practice with 6 colleagues in the eastern and inner part of Amsterdam. Our surgery is closely affiliated to the local hospital in this part of Amsterdam: the “Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis (OLVG)”.
